Dr. Richard Blackford

 

Dr. Richard Blackford received his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology (1989), an American Psychological Association (APA) approved program. He also completed two APA-approved internships, including one as the chief intern at the largest psychiatric facility in the world, the West Los Angeles VA/UCLA Medical Center. He also received training and research experience at USC Medical Center. He has published and presented in professional and community settings. He is licensed in California and Pennsylvania and has been in practice since 1989.

 

Dr. Blackford has expertise in medication issues and often works with clients and their physicians to help with medication and side effects and alternatives. He has extensive spiritual training, including a seminary degree, and enjoys helping people on their path of spiritual development and discovery.

 

Dr. Blackford enjoys therapy and has unique insights on depression, anxiety, panic, and relational issues that many people find life-changing. Clients often return to tell about how this process has affected them, and many choose to "refresh" what they learned to move on to the next level of mental and emotional health.
